Plenary Session - Cause popularity: just the way it is?
Alan Clayton, Director of Clayton Burnett Ltd
Is it really easier to raise money for dogs than for diabetes? For cancer than conservation? For kids than for kidneys?
Alan will look at research and analysis from across the sector to see which causes really are easier to raise money for, and explain why. He will also look at why different types of people support different causes.
Crucially, the session will end with suggestions of how every cause can increase its fundraising popularity by working on the very simple, but often ignored, theory of ‘closeness.’
